HI, I’M SAMMY,

Growing up, I was always a sporty kid who loved netball and being active. But life took some hard turns, I surrounded myself with the wrong crowd, stuck in toxic relationships and it left me with little self-worth.

After my first breakup, I turned to fitness, thinking it would fix everything. I became obsessed and eventually did my first bodybuilding competition and placed 3rd but because I did it for the wrong reasons and not in a good head space during my post-comp journey I developed some eating issues.

I swore I’d never do another comp unless I was in a healthy headspace. But healing didn’t come easy. A second toxic relationship left me questioning my worth all over again. When I thought about becoming a coach, I was told I wasn’t cut out for it, that I wasn’t right for fitness.

After that breakup, that's exactly what I did. I got my Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness, learning everything I could about health and fitness. I didn't just want to heal myself, I wanted to help others too. I realised that the years I spent struggling weren’t wasted. They shaped me into the coach I am today. I understand what it’s like to feel stuck like nothing will ever change. I know how hard it is to battle the voices in your head that say you’re not enough. But I also know what’s possible when you finally believe in yourself.

This is about more than losing weight or hitting a goal. It’s about building the kind of confidence that carries into every corner of your life, relationships, work, friendships, everything. You don’t have to wait to feel good about yourself. Your best self is already inside you, we just need to bring her out.

    I feel like I had no idea how much of a change had happened with my body until I looked at those photos. And not only the photos, there’s a difference in the way my clothes fit too. I feel like it’s evidence that I can lose body fat and can make the changes I want, I just have to stop doubting myself and trust the process and you don’t have to be perfect with it to get results. So far my journey hasnt been perfect and I’ve had my up’s and down’s and I’m sure I will have more but you’ve always been there to believe in me and hold me accountable which is uncomfortable at times but very necessary. I don’t struggle with self confidence as much as I used to. I definitely still have my days but I know that they are normal and will pass and I really believe the gym shaped that mentality.

    I have learned so much from you! I think the hardest but most important lesson would be that progress is so much more than scale weight. It's about how u feel physically & mentally. You can feel healthier & have your clothes get looser without the scale weight moving as much as I first thought. Mentally I feel a lot better than when we started. I hated how I looked. My body shape has changed & is still changing & I no longer hate the person looking back at me in the mirror.

    Definitely my mindset around the gym is a million times better I actually want to go in and train, gym anxiety is completely gone and I feel comfortable being there!! Seeing my progress photos are the biggest thing too keep me going during the times were I think nothing changed at all ahaha, because my gawd it has hahaha, me middle of last year wouldn't be caught out of the house in shorts and now I couldn't even imagine not being comfortable and happy to go out in shorts! Such a small thing hahaha! Also have learnt like soooo much about nutrition and tracking in general.

    The amount of knowledge i have gained since having a coach around nutrition and training and what's important is amazing, my mindset has improved hugely in a way i don't think i have to be the skinniest now, even thought i do want to have as little body fat as humanly possible but not wanting to achieve that in an unsustainable way, and my last positive note, having a supportive coach that doesn't think of you as a number and makes u feel important and strong physically and mentally and is easy to talk to so comfortably with no judgment.
